The Modern Medieval Guest Room

The clients of this Georgian Estate desired a Guest Room with an Olde English style. Cathleen utilized the movie, “Girl with a Pearl Earring” to inspire and inform the design. From the hand knotted rug, to the suede like velatura plaster wall finish, the palette was to celebrate natural dyes and materials with a bespoke handmade vernacular. All of the furnishings in the room were custom made by local artisans, or they were antiquities collected throughout Europe.
