The Inaugural Traditional Home Showhouse at Cardinale Estate

Cathleen Gouveia was one of eight designers selected nationally for the Inaugural Traditional Home Napa Showhouse at the Cardinale Estate Winery near Yountville, CA. She conceived of a wine library for the homeowner, Ms. Kendall Jackson; and converted the space from its previous use as a Guest Bedroom. It features custom Makassar millwork, custom grassello walls like glass, custom furniture, and lighting specifically designed for the space. With stainless steel and oak at the forefront, the room was conceptually designed to celebrate the wine making process. All of the design elements and materials used drive that vision home—and it shows. The space won the Northern California ASID Design Excellence Award, 2015 Best Showhouse Design; and also Best Residential Design Project Under 3,000SF (Second Place).
